Samoëns
is a typical small savoyard
mountain village, steeped in history and tradition dating back to
the 14th & 15th centuries.
Awarded the `Coq
d'Or', placing it among the five most beautiful villages
in France.
Forming an integral part of the Grand
Massif ski area, Samoëns is linked by lifts and pistes with Flaine,
Morillon, Les Carroz and Sixt. In summer it plays host to a wealth
of sporting and outdoor activities.
Within an hours drive it is possible
to visit a number of regional sites of interest as well as Switzerland
and Italy.
Auberge
Le Pativerdans is a
busy bar restaurant at the foot of the pistes. Very popular with
ski monitors, pisteurs and skiers, locals and tourists alike as
an apres ski bar, dating back some fifty years from the early days
of skiing in Samoëns.
Positioned as we are next to the Telecabine
des Saix, we can boast probably the best situated rooms anywhere.
Our accommodation on the first floor provides the keen skier with
direct access to the lifts and pistes with no more than a walk across
the road.
We already have a growing number of regular
clients some of whom are on their fifth or sixth visit.
What could beat unclipping your skis
at the end of the day, outside the door of your accommodation and
settling in to those apres ski beverages, then up for a hot shower
and perhaps forty winks before dinner.
Ray and Lorraine the proprietors are
always on hand to give any help or assistance you might need for
booking lessons, ski hire, where to go and what to do.
